EzloSpirit Sings RENT

WARNING: THIS ALBUM IS NOT MEANT FOR YOUNG LISTENERS! MANY OF THE TRACKS CONTAINED WITHIN IT CONTAIN STRONG LANGUAGE, SEXUAL INNUENDOS, AND/OR DRUG/ALCOHOL REFERENCES. LISTENER DISCRETION IS HIGHLY ADVISED!

Ah, Jonathan Larson's revolutionary rock opera about a group of young bohemians in 1980's/1990's New York City, forming strong friendships and struggling to pay rent. Winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, RENT has captured the hearts of people everywhere. The musical ran on Broadway for 12 years (1996-2008), and it has even received a film adaptation (2005, directed by original Harry Potter director Chris Columbus) starring most of the original broadway cast. RENT has also been performed around the world in at least 24 different languages!

Music from RENT has appeared in Trilogy I and Trilogy II of EMC. However, every cover of a RENT song on those albums has been based on the film version of the respective song. This album is essentially me singing the entire broadway soundtrack. It's a whole different deal from the movie! Feel free to compare and contrast the different versions...and enjoy the new stuff, too!

Yes, I "play" every part in the play, meaning the female parts, too. In Shakespeare's day, all actors were male, so this was normal back then. There's really nothing wrong with it today, either!

Again, this is not for children. I'd say it's fine for anyone aged 14 and up or so.

(Note: Rather than original performer(s) and album being listed alongside each track, only the character(s) singing is listed.)
